Cultivation
Our basic product, the seed, is obtained from trustworthy suppliers and cultivators. The seed is examined by the NAKT before sowing, to ensure first class Sets are produced a close watch is kept throughout the growing period. To minimize the chance of crop failure and disease, cultivation is spread throughout the land. One third of the crop is produced in the north, one third in the middle and one third in the south of the country.
The greatest of care is taken in the laying of the Sets. Good storage is important for good quality, again storage is supervised by the NAKT.
Assortment
We provide a comprehensive assortment of sets, they can be round or flat, we have Yellow, Red, White and winter varieties. We can also supply sets for Shallots, Picklers and Cocktail-onions as well as Onion Seed.
Having established a branch of A.C. Mosselman BV in Piershil (near Rotterdam), we can guarantee prompt delivery. We will deliver orders in packages (pre-packing ranging from 250 gram, 500 gram, to 1000 gram) and bags of 25kg., 10 kg. and 5 kg. Because of our experience in providing a high quality product we have no hesitation presenting ourselves to our potential clientele.

The quality control:
The productionfields are inspected and checked if the conditions for the soil and the seed used are fulfilled. Marketing of the onion sets can be done with suppliers documents, supplying the necessary information. The information to be put on the suppliers document is described in the quality regulation for vegetable plants of NAKT, which is described from the European directive for vegetable plants (92/93/EEC). With the addition of plant passport data also the conditions included in the phytosanitary directive (77/93/EEC) are fulfilled.
NAKT quality mark
Onion sets produced under full control of the NAKT (during production on the fields, storage and marketing) can be identified by or in the name of NAKT with a NAKT quality mark (label). These onion sets are true the variety, have a good varietal purity, are healthy and have good quality. Only NAKT onion sets with a quality mark are identified with the NAKT label.
